The hive office
For parents and teachers
A few easy ways to turn a short cartoon into a proper chat about being kind, honest and brave.
Getting more out of a two-minute story
- Watch it together if you can. It turns screen time into something you can talk about.
- Pause halfway and ask what they think will happen next.
- When it ends, ask one of the questions on the story's page. One is plenty.
- If there's time, try the activity on the story page. They use things most homes already have.
- Later in the day, ask your child to tell you the story. Retelling is great for language.
In the classroom
- A story and one discussion question fit into a ten-minute circle time.
- Planning a values week? The lesson pages group the stories by theme.
- The narration is slow and clear, which suits early years and ESL listening practice.
- Pause at a key moment and have children draw what they think comes next.

Common questions
What age are TaleBee stories for?
We make them for children aged 3 to 8. The words are simple and the narrator speaks slowly, so they also suit kids who are learning English.
How long are the videos?
The full stories run about 2 to 3 minutes. Our Shorts are all under 90 seconds.
Are they good for bedtime?
Yes. They're calm, they're short, and they all end happily, so they make a gentle last thing before lights out.
How can I use the stories to teach values?
Watch one together, then ask a question or two from the story's page. Each story page also has a quick activity you can do with things you already have at home.
Can teachers use TaleBee in class?
Please do. A story plus one discussion question fits into circle time, and the clear narration works for English listening practice. You can play the video from YouTube or from this site.
Does this website collect my child's data?
No. There's no sign up, no ads and no tracking cookies. Honey jars and settings are saved only in your own browser and never sent to us. YouTube videos only load after you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
Is TaleBee in other languages?
Not yet. All our stories are in English for now.
